Jaron Kolinski: Staff was amazing and super kind!
Aimee Wiley: Gorgeous lobby, good sound in the theaters, not the most comfortable seats, but it's totally worth it. A true Milwaukee gem!
Christianne Varela: Jaw dropping restoration. Thoroughly enjoyed our viewings during the 2024 MKE Film Festival.
Mary: Excellent Shows!
Jane: One of my favorite places to catch a movie. Amazing architecture
Onyeukwu Chinomso: Good cinema to go
Cindy C: Beautiful quaint theatre with a boba shop right next door! They have restroom out at front and tickets are at a fair price.
James Gearhart: Great theater and fun staff.
Fitzgerald Scott: Nice!!!
KJ Severin: Top tier showings - not only are there current features, but also independent releases, revitalized classics, and other notable films of cinema history.
No More: Easily the best theater I have ever been too. You could watch paint dry here and be happy.
Rugby: The Oriental Theatre’s parent organization, Milwaukee Film, offers exclusive monthly screenings of festival-quality films, ticket and merchandise discounts, early access to film festival tickets, private event invites, and other fantastic perks to its members. As a member, you’ll be a part of a growing community of film fans who are passionate about sharing cinematic experiences and furthering film culture in the Milwaukee area. Milwaukee Film memberships are tax deductible and begin as low as $65/year.Which alone is pretty coolSince 1927, the Oriental Theatre has been an iconic landmark on Milwaukee’s East Side. With three screens, 35mm and 70mm capabilities in the main house, DLOP digital projection and sound, full-service concessions and bar offerings, and its ornate East Indian décor, the Oriental Theatre is consistently recognized as one of the top movie palaces in the countryGreat visits and experiences await
R S: , since the theatre is very old. Remodeled recently with all new seats, large ladies restroom in lobby along with other WC including wheelchair accessible. The sound system is new and if you become a member of one of the largest non-profit film clubs in the country the tickets and refreshments are discounted.

Mitchell Horner: Great to have this open again
Liz Perez: I love the loudness and intimacy. The sofas were great! They only show one movie at a time so be prepared to not have options. Like every movie theatre the snack prices are outrages.
Grant Duffrin: 2 million of the bravest and brightest men, women, and child of the world stormed the theater halfway through the film and created a vortex of human excellent so strong it woke nearly 200 dogs within a 50 mile radius
Daria Mueller: Love the cozy and comfortable little couches, and the charm and character of this local theater.

Christy D. Washington: The Times Cinema has been a Milwaukee movie house classic since 1935! The Times has shown many of the great cinema classics over the years. The Christmas classic Its a Wonderful Life is a yearly event at the Times at Christmas. The concessions such as the buttered popcorn are very fresh and delicious. Also, check out the Rosebud Cinema Drafthouse and Avalon Atmospheric Theater which are own by the same business the Neighborhood Theater Group. The Times, Avalon, and Oriental are the only three remaining movie theaters in Milwaukee!
Christianne Varela: Great restoration, huge screen, clean, friendly. Has QR code on the attached swing tables to order food. Like, real food... pizza, burgers, fried chix... Nice! Will be a regular!
Joann Bielinski: The remodel is nice, but they need two separate lines for admissions and snacks. We paid extra to get our tickets online and waited in the same line as everyone else.
Melanie Hinchey: Great old theater, comfortable chairs and fun environment for everyone.
Nata Delgado: Great movie selection of foreign, indie, Althouse, etc.
christopher romano: First time. Caught of screening of Holy Mountain. Staff was great. Real clean. Real cozy. Can't wait to catch something else cool there.
Kelly Price: Cute, local theatre with great popcorn and unique movie offerings!
Amanda Viers: Some of the better sound out of the small local theatres.
JP Maschke: Great movie shown here last week for the MKE Film Festival! Good recliner chairs 💺 in a small theater.
Jenna Miller: Love their programming and comfy velvet seats.
Mike Harloff: Very comfortable seats and the absolute best popcorn of all the theaters.
Vee Bell: 15 minutes before what is, fortuitously, my wife's favorite movie of all time
Sonia Koehler: Rated only 4 stars because I had the absolute worst chicken strips and fries of my life there. Dry, chewy, burnt and flavorless. Have no idea how they managed to mess up chicken tenders of all things. I didn’t say anything because I was hungry and listless, but next time instead of wasting $11 dollars on that I’ll just get some popcorn lol.

Noah Mintie: Nice
R L: Loved this theater and happy to see MKEFILM taking over! Can't wait for what's to come!
Montel Jackson: Love this place
Jim Ward: Love the Downer....easy access, friendly staff.
Mason V Samuels: Indie film mecha. well organized, good size. And of course concessions. We cam here for the women talking film a few months ago. Such a good selection of films. And I agree with the last reviewer, it's quaint.
Matthew Francis: Never let this place die
Jaime Cano Lopez: My favorite movie theater in Milwaukee
James Adair: Beautiful old theatre
Mitchell Lange: Cool theatre with grear snacks and drinks.
Kyle McHugh: Great spot to watch a movie, one of my favorite theaters in the Milwaukee area. Saw Antman Quantumania here. It was a good vibe. It was way to dark when the movie started i could barely find my way out.
J Rice: Great staff. Delicious popcorn. Nice vibe.
Jon Gilbertson: Great theater of an old-fashioned variety, showing artful movies.
Molly Zabrowski: A small theater that shows Indie films. The building is older, quaint, yet well maintained. You walk into a small lobby and concession stand. Popcorn, Nachos, candy, soda and mixed drinks are options to purchase. There are 2 theaters, one to either side of the concession stand. Bathrooms are clean and tidy.
Tom O'Sullivan: If you live in mke, just go here. When you can. Great atmosphere, well curated movie selection. Cool events, wish I could go upstairs
The Deacon: Situated in a nice neighborhood, nearby restaurants and coffee shops. Inside nice and clean and employees very welcoming. Definitely good spot for a first date.

Brad Mintie: The theatre, ordering from seats, and film were amazing. The cranky woman who insisted we stand outside for an hour instead of enjoying the lounge that was open, not so much.
Jim: This is how all cinemas should be!Great atmosphere watching films in what feels like the courtyard of an Italian outdoor theatre under a starry sky.Comfortable rocker seats and nice little bar serving cocktails with prompt service to your seat throughout the film.
Emily VanOpdorp: I booked a private screening event at the Avalon and we had the absolute best experience! The event was a birthday celebration for my brother, who is nonspeaking and on the autism spectrum. Each person I talked with was so wonderful and easy to work with- it's not very often you find a place that will support a truly sensory friendly event and the staff at the Avalon went above and beyond! Thank you, thank you, thank you for allowing us the flexibility to give him the best sensory experience possible.
The Borg Cooking Show: Best movie theatre in Milwaukee.Although I can't recommend the "Nashville Hot" Chicken sandwich. It's about as Nashville as New DelhiHamburger 3.8/10Chicken tenders 8.5/10BBQ sauce ??/10 what the absolute nonsense is that sauce. No like I'm actually curious what that sauce is.
Mary Trotter: An experience! Our favorite theater. Beautiful, historic interior with good popcorn, excellent sound system and a sparkling night sky. Go!

Carla G: Я просто чувствую, что сиденья нуждаются в обновлении. Некоторые сиденья были порваны.
Anna Ertl: Всегда чисто и опрятно. Сотрудники очень отзывчивы, обслуживание всегда быстрое.
Kevin Lipke:
Anna Matos: Отличный опыт во всем. Стулья супер удобные. Посмотрел новый фильм «Конганд о Годзилле», и он был великолепен.
serita lowe: Здесь всегда здорово😁😁😁

CR SK: Desolate
Sarah Davis: I had a wonderful time I know it's been over 30 years since I've been to the movies I've got to start getting myself out The movie was great I think it was the King Kong Godzilla movie

K.W. Bernoska: It was the case that much of the programming was free for much of my time attending shows at the Union Cinema. Some years ago they started charging a nominal fee. It became prohibitive since I was living on the street for those years. What the Union Cinema is as a resource can be hard to put into words. It is a bog standard University cinema for sure. The world needs bog standard University Cinemas. It was the only place I was seeing repertory 35mm screenings since Landmark and Marcus converted to digital. Having a well maintained and programmed 35mm venue is just incredibly vital to keeping film and film culture alive.Their rotation of Festival of Films in French, Latin American Film Festival, Zen Film Featival, Muslim Film Festival, Underground Film Festival and others have broadened my understanding of the medium. And the world. The talkbacks, musical guests, regulars. Because of the paywall it almost took away a start from my rating. It’s easily a five star space if only that I wouldn’t be the person I am without my years of attending UWM’s Union Cinema.
Emily B: Even if the movie is low-grade, the environment is clean and smells good. A great resource for the community and great prices. Serves great popcorn. Unsure of the coffee source but it is decent for a theater! Normally not busy, so plenty of room to sit anywhere you'd like. Just wish that shows had more frequent plays instead of trying to make it to 1 out of 3.

Kristine Kuesel: Nostalgic theater servicing food and drinks. The only complaint is that they've divided the theater into two screen. The movie we were watching was pretty quiet with mostly dialog. The movie in the adjoining theater was like with lots of traffic and emergency vehicles which we could hear all too well. It was distracting. Other than that, the food and service are good.
Nick: Excellent and cozy theater
Brian Smith: It was my favorite movie theater. I hope you guys aren't perma closed.
Total Cleaning Solutions Conley: Nice and clean perfect office space
Anna Gilbert: Beautiful, clean, and good food
Michael Davis: Awesome great service great movie footloose with Kevin Bacon
Dennis Hennessey: very comfortable and cozy
Claire Gartner: Great theater!
Katrina Wilson: Good experience, could use a remodel though
Monyca Jordan: Great cinema, great food, great drinks and great service. Wonderful experience

Lenoria Johnson: This place was magnificent. I love that they cheers recline the atmosphere was just wonderful I love that place
Phillip R.: Paid for the seats in advance so it was smooth sailing. Have it 4 stars because it took literally half the movie to deliver some basic nachos
Victoria Lopez: Everyone was so friendly and kind. And my order was ready by the time I got there.
Jorge Hurtado Guevara: Good movie, Good food
Javier Alvarez: food was good for movie food. Drinks took a little longer to come out, I can understand there was only two bartenders. I do not blame today's society for not having enough workers. The drink still was delicious! Will definitely come back for future dates!
Dianna Howard: The bistroplex never disappointed. The food is pretty consistent and the movie-lounger experience is like no other. I literally visit fire the seats lol.
Richard Scott: I love this theater 🎥 excellent food service 😋 seats are so comfortable.
karmakarma: INCREDIBLE customer service!! Bar tender was wonderful and friendly. Had conversation with us about Godzilla and recommended the Godzilla Chicken Sandwich. Wait staff was AWESOME, we accidentally spilled our drink and they offered to make is a new one for us. Bartender was quick! Would recommend.
Michelle Perich: 1st time here, and I haven't gone to see a movie in a few years. Wow! What a lovely experience! Clean entrance with bar and seating in front of a jumbo screen to watch sports. We saw the Bob Marley biopic, which was excellent, by the way. Seating was so comfortable in reclining loveseats and chairs automatic everything. Trays next to you. You're able to order food and have it delivered to your trays so that you can eat and watch the movie. If you're not getting food, they're just taking up space, but the option is so great ? I can't wait to come back for date night without the kids. The only place comparable for me was the Rosebud, which had a similar set up for 20 years ago. It's a great experience, recommend 100%. Marcus has a winner here!!
Viviana Montilla: Watched imaginary with my kids. Movie was pretty good. Will be back to see Deadpool vs wolverine
Lionel Boyle: Very nice and very well up kept. The staff & service was very nice and very fast. No troubles.
